My router at home also serves as the DHCP server for the network. I have a plan9 file server and now want to pxe boot a second machine from it. On the file server I have 'ip/dhcpd -sS' running, since it also serves bootp requests.
Now when i pxe boot the second machine, it loads 9boot, but when searching for the /cfg/pxe/<mac address> file, it uses the ip address of my router. Boot Message: pxe on ether0 . (<router ip>!69): /cfg/pxe/<mac address> .T.T.T.T.T.T.T.T.T.Ttftpread1st: failed to connect to server (<router ip>!69) How can I pxe boot other machines, without my file server acting as dhcp server for the whole network? -marco ------------------------------------------ 9fans: 9fans Permalink: https://9fans.topicbox.com/groups/9fans/T47150b930c3726bd-Md6e6d272075e2daf4b9fc7f6 Delivery options: https://9fans.topicbox.com/groups/9fans/subscription
