Arts landscape): inform potentially interested parties of the
existence of something valuable.
Of course, it is clearly not only academia that needs to know and
curatorship would extend beyond that, clearly. Sponsorship is probably
even more important. A curator may be able to justify a salary from a
successful crowd-funding effort, for example.

Am I being unreasonably optimistic?
