I sometimes do a (repeated) search/replace on a single character, for example
/`/ c/‘/ The above are applied using chording, with an Edit in the relevant window; the search/replace is split into two separate commands so I can check the instances. But depending on the width of the character searched for and the light conditions, I may find myself spending too much time trying to see where in the window the highlighted character found by /`/ actually is. Appending -+ to the search will highlight the whole line instead; and prepending x/`/ to the replacement command will then replace the instance found on that line. /`/-+ x/`/c/‘/ Mark.
