I don't need anyone to prove anything; I just need them to stop pretending anyone gives a crap about e.g. 9front except 9front users. 9front is not some kind of 'mission'; it's there because it serves our needs well. For the record, hgfs does not depend on python. It's currently read-only but can be extended easily, in C. It works within existing plan 9 paradigms and is one project I'm very excited to watch. git offers nothing hg does not offer. hg is already present and working on my systems. I do not now have, and do not foresee ever having, any desire or need to use git on plan 9. The only real reason people keep braying about it is their habits on other operating systems.
