I have both 1.6.1 and 2.0 on 10.9 (the latest). 1.6.1 is not ancient and I didn't even need to compile it. Plan 9 runs just fine. 2.0 I compiled because I needed the new arm64 support. It wasn't hard. -- Aram Hăvărneanu
