Quoting ron minnich <rminn...@gmail.com>:
I have a different perspective. There are millions of chromebooks out there updating all the time, from the firmware to the kernel to the root file system to everything. It all works.
Millions of carefully-crafted machines updating all the time, from the firmware
to the kernel, *as long as the user doesn't actually do anything with the computer*. Pushing updates to your pet web browser is a very different task than supporting a general-purpose operating system. I can only assume you know that, so is this irrelevant tangent deliberate misdirection or a symptom of an honest misunderstanding of the situation? khm
