my experience has been similar to anthony's. i have >> 10 machines, and none of them offer a non 4:3 mode from onboard graphics, at least when attached to a 4:3 monitor. i suspect that the modes offered may be different when different montors are attached, but i haven't proved that. what kind of video cards/onboard video are you using? - erik
