I use Look when I want to find a literal value, irrespective of it containing special regular expression characters. It's always been my understanding that Look is intended for this purpose and I don't see that Edit could be more efficient at it. Historically, Look has been on the tag line a lot longer than Edit has even existed in acme, if memory serves. ++L
