[9fans] FTDI usb/serial not mounting in /dev

I have a gsm module with an ftdi serial chip on it. When I plug it into my
machine I see

usb/serial ... eiaU0

pop up in rio, but I cant find it in /dev/. In usb (4) it says that it
usually mounts the fs in /dev.

Any advice?
