I assume you mean /$objtype/bin/tex, this looks a good fit to me too, however if you use contrib then you can just do: contrib/remove tex which will print commands to remove exactly the files that where installed, unless they have changed in which case it will print a commented out command (i.e. if another package overwrote and updated a shared file). -Steve
