That is not the worst of it. You usually have to sign first rights of refusal for everything you ever do . So, if you ever want to write a second edition, or a different book, it might cost you more money than you ever made just to get out of that contract. That is happening to a friend of mine whose book was published by a small academic press that was later bought out by Wiley... Look at Lulu.com. They will publish ebooks as well as paper. The costs are very reasonable. EBo --
