i think the easiest way to do this is to keep "|expander" in your acme tag, highlight (b1 sweep) the _TMACRO you'd like to expand, and b2 click |expander.
pushing things through plumber means expander won't have the window context. you might be able to mount acme's exported namespace and figure it out, but it'd be a lot of work for no obvious reason.
