There are such people out there, they just think that keeping ultra paranoid secrecy and perpetuating the perception that Plan 9 is a commercial dead end is somehow a good idea (yea, people are fucking nuts, but hey, I guess you have to be fucking nuts to use Plan 9, so who can blame them.)
I have to admit that Coraid is an exception to this, and while they have kept their Plan 9 usage in a low profile they have been rather open about it, and have made huge contributions back to the community (something that can't be said even of Bell Labs, see amd64).
