Hi, I just want to announce that a new 9P-related framework has been published (pre-alpha status, PoC). You find the current project documentation on the project homepage "http://aspector.com/~brf/J9P"; the published packages are available on SourceForge: "https://sourceforge.net/projects/j9pstyxlib/".
J9P is a pure Java implementation of the 9P(2000) protocol including authentication and message digests/encryption. It comes with a generic 9P server that publishes namespaces that are assembled from Java objects. File operations in the namespace are mapped to Java method calls; the called object handles the operation accordingly. This way it is quite easy to integrate non-9P services (like SQL databases) into 9P networks. Have fun, Bernd. -- gpg fp: F722 2826 40C2 B3C4 E136 6DE5 1DC0 7A20 513B C8F4
