assuming that your linux test was on the same machine, that certianly sounds like a bug. could you send me pci or lspci -nvv output. i'm wondering if you have an ahci chipset. older versions of the ahci driver / 9load driver have some trouble with some newer ahci wrinkles, like staggered spinup and advanced power management. i believe that i've gotten to the bottom of anothy's problems reported in http://9fans.net/archive/2009/01/370 i can work with you offline. the code's not ready let loose. - erik
