but that's not what happens. waiting for 15 seconds decreases the load to near zero. it's not a ddos attack. in fact, most of the trouble came from a single zombie. if it were, i would need to see more than 10 connections/second before i would have a significant backlog. i can easily afford 150 smtpds sleeping. - erik
