The .+#0 is there because if you Undo one of the changes, the text that is selected right now will be "old". Starting the search at .+#0 skips over that occurrence to go to the next one. It is true that the /old/c/new/ doesn't scroll, which is unfortunate. I haven't looked into why or whether it is reasonable to change. Russ
