yup. 9vx creates ctl files without a "geometry line". libdisk/disk.c:/^opensd demands it. also, it would be nice if 9vx devsd created an entry in sdctl for each loopback controller. i apologize for not sending a patch. i haven't yet gotten the vx32 compilers working on my machine. i'm sure this is operator error. - erik
