nothing earth-shattering or alltogether unexpected. i was doing some aoe performance tests on an intel celeron 1.8ghz c430 processor today and noticed that with mp interrupts off, i got 750MB/s on two gbe interfaces.
too good to be true unless you've got relativistic clocks. sure enough. time 30s took 2min 56s to run in my frame of reference. unfortunately, the machine *looks* stationary. maybe i'll open 'er up and find that cat. that would be alltogether unexpected. - erik
