Hi All,

We just submitted a new revision of the PASA main specs document.
As I mentioned during my talk back in London, there were a couple of points
that needed some refinements.
Hence this revision of the document.

Beyond the usual text refinement and typo hunting, the main changes are:

- External communication: Since every parent is the default route of its
children it is actually very easy to forward the packet to a destination
outside the PASA domain, just forward to the parent until the packet reaches
the root. The latter will uncompress the IPv6 header for further forwarding.
There is not even the need of using the PASA routing header. You can see the
details in what is now Section 7.2.

- PASA address allocation: Address allocation is now based on RFC 8505,
extending the use of EARO (Extended Address Registration Option). In this way
there is no need to create new ICMP messages (this was the previous
solution).Details can be found in Section 8.

This completes the overall review of the document to address the feedback
received during call for adoption and make the proposal more integrated in the
6lo protocol stack.

Any further feedback is more than welcome.

Ciao

LI> Abstract:
LI> This document specifies a topological addressing scheme, Path-Aware
LI> Semantic Addressing (PASA) that enables IP packet stateless
LI> forwarding.
LI> No routing table needs to be built, rather, the forwarding decision
LI> is based solely on the destination address structure. This document
LI> focuses on carrying IP packets across an LLN (Low power and Lossy
LI> Network), in which the topology is static, the location of the nodes
LI> is fixed, and the connection between the nodes is also rather stable.
LI> This specifications describes the PASA architecture, along with PASA
LI> address allocation, forwarding mechanism, header format design,
LI> including length-variable fields, and IPv6 interconnection support.
